House Leagues
How long are practices and games
Practices are one hour with a goal of 50 minutes of content. Games are also scheduled in hour blocks.
When will practices and games be held generally
Practices are predominantly on weeknights and games are predominantly on weekends
What happens if it rains
Rainouts will be communicated by staff to all players and coaches in a timely manner.
Will there be make up dates for rainouts
Rainouts for practices will not be made up. If there is a rainout on a game day, the next scheduled practice day maybe used to make up the game if necessary
Is there a multi-child discount
Yes! A 10% discount will be automatically applied at checkout if you are registering multiple children
Is there a multi-sport discount
Yes! A 5% discount will be automatically applied at checkout if you are registering multiple children
How long does the program run for
Leagues will have a 10 week schedule built, with 8 weeks of programming to be intended. If there are no rainouts, children will get to play all 10 weeks
What if my child has never played this sport before
AYSA is a great place to introduce your child to a new sport! AYSA focuses on levels of play and will ensure each player grows and develops as player all while having fun and leading a healthier life style!
How will I know what team my child is on
Once registration closes we will communicate with parents on team placement. Please note that for age groups with evaluations we will host evaluations and place players after evaluations and drafts are completed to ensure parody amongst the teams.
When will the schedule be released
Schedule will be release 1 week prior to the start of the season
If I’m a volunteer coach, will I be assigned to my child's team
Yes, all coaches will be automatically paired with their child unless specifically requested
How can I become a volunteer coach
You have two options: Upon registration you will be prompted a question on your intent to be a volunteer coach or not. or Please click this link (Coaches Registration) to register to be a volunteer coach
Do I need prior playing/coaching experience for the sport I am volunteering for
No experience is necessary, just a passion to teach our children. All coaches will attend a mandatory training where we will provide all the tools and information you would need to coach your sport.
Can I request to be on a specific team and/or with a specific coach/player
Yes when registering there is a section where you can specifically request for a coach or player, although we cannot guarantee a spot with them we will do our very best to keep friends together.
What equipment do I need to have
Equipment needs for each program will be listed in the program listing and coaches will be provided additional equipment as well for their team.
When do we receive uniforms
You will receive uniforms at the beginning of your first team practice
How will teams be picked
Teams for non- evaluation age groups will be formed based upon teammate requests and schedule availability. Evaluation based age groups will have players attend evaluations and the players
Do I need to stay at the field during the entire session
How many kids will be on each team
Each team will have a max capacity of double the playing capacity for that specific sport (e.g. 5v5 soccer will have a max team capacity of 10)
YOUTH TRAINING
How long are the clinics
Clinics will be one hour long
Can I register for just one week of clinics or do I have to pay for all the sessions?
Yes, you can register for all 4 weeks at $75 or individual sessions at $25
How many coaches will run the clinics
We will keep our clinics close to a 12:1 Player:Coach ratio. Amount of coaches per clinic will be dependent on registrants and age group. We will also have assistant coaches as needed to ensure productive sessions.
Will there be makeups for inclement weather for the leagues that are held outside?
Inclement weather will be handled on a day by day basis. Should the weather dictate that it is unsafe for players to attend the clinic, we will either be moved inside or schedule a make-up. All weather updates will be communicated via email, posted on our website as well as texting for those families that have opted in.
What equipment do we need to bring to the clinics
Basketball: Please bring a water bottle, athletic clothing and shoes. It is encouraged to bring your own ball if you own one, but coaches will have spares for those who can not provide their own. Age appropriate sized basketball (K-1 Juniors/27.5, 2-5th Grade Womens/28.5, 6-8th Grade Mens/29.5)
Soccer: Please bring a water bottle, athletic clothing and shoes. It is encouraged to bring your own ball if you own one, but coaches will have spares for those who can not provide their own. Age appropriate sized soccer ball (K-1 size 3, 2-5th Grade Size 4, 6-8th Grade Size 5),

What do we get for registering for the clinics
Your Athlete will get wonderful dedicated coaching in a fun and positive atmosphere, that will allow them to grow their skills and understanding of the game. All players will receive an AYSA shirt and each week we will do a surprise and delight item for the athletes.
Am I required to stay for the entire duration of the clinic
For kindergarten through 1st grade we ask that parents stay on property for the duration of the clinic. For 2nd grade and older we ask that the parents come to the field/gym for check-in and drop-off.
Are AYSA clinics gender specific?
AYSA clinics are gender inclusive and we encourage all to attend.
